The Altone local area is located in the south west area of the City of Swan and includes the suburbs of Bennett Springs, Beechboro, Kiara, Lockridge and parts of Caversham and Whiteman.
This LAP is currently being implemented. It was last reviewed in 2021 and is planned to be reviewed again in 2026.

Located in the western portion of the City of Swan, the Ellenbrook local area includes the localities of Ellenbrook, The Vines, most of Aveley, part of Henley Brook and a portion of Upper Swan. This LAP is currently being implemented. It was last reviewed in 2022 and is planned to be reviewed again 2027.

The Gidgegannup Local Area consists of rural and rural-residential land occupying most of the northern and eastern areas of the City of Swan. The local area includes the suburbs of Gidgegannup, Red Hill and Avon Valley National Park.

The Midland local area is located in the north east of Perth and includes the suburbs of Midland, Koongamia, Viveash and Woodbridge, the Southern part of Middle Swan, and parts of Midvale and Bellevue.

The Whiteman Local Area previously known as an Urban Growth Corridor (UGC) is situated to the west of the Swan Valley and includes the suburbs of Brabham, Caversham, Bennett Springs, Dayton and Henley Brook.
