The City of Swan is preparing the Malaga Local Area Plan (LAP) and wants to hear the community's vision and aspirations over the next five years.

LAPs allow local communities to identify local issues through consultation and assist the City to develop high-level strategic priorities to address these issues.

The consultation will be open from February 3 until March 16, 2025.

Business and community events

Malaga business owners can attend our business breakfast (registration required) and hear about Home Fire Studio (Perth Film Studio), the new Ballajura train station and its residential/commercial precinct, and much more. The City will also run a business workshop (registration required), where you can learn more about leveraging Canva for your business. Plus, Malaga’s residents, business owners, employees, landowners and visitors can have a chat with us during our community drop-in sessions or at our Sundowner where you can learn more about the future of the area.
