Thank you to everyone who took part in the Guildford-Hazelmere Local Area Plan consultation. Your ideas and feedback have played an important role in shaping the final plan.
Consultation ran from May 18, 2025 toJune 15, 2025 and reached eight per cent of the local population. We received 687 voting submissions and 486 written comments.
The Guildford-Hazelmere Local Area Plan was adopted by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting on November 12, 2025.
The City will use the adopted plan to guide service delivery across the local area for the next five years in line with the community’s priorities. An annual update will be published on this page to show progress on actions in each priority area.

Community Priorities
- Improve traffic flow throughout the area.
- Advocate for progress on critical strategic transport infrastructure and improve communication of progress to the community.
- Increase street tree planting in residential areas.
- Preserve and advocate for enhancing bushland and the Swan & Helena River reserves.
- Improve public open space to cater to all members of the community including safe evening access, play spaces and dog exercise.
- Undertake the South Guildford BMX facility.
- Improve shared path connections within and
between suburbs.
