Located in the western portion of the City of Swan, the Ellenbrook local area includes the suburbs of Ellenbrook, The Vines, and Aveley.
Development of Ellenbrook commenced in 1992 and since then has been one of the fastest-growing residential development areas in Western Australia. In 2018/19, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) named the Ellenbrook statistical area as having the largest population growth in Western Australia.

Local Area Plans (LAPS) provide the opportunity to recognise the character and needs of our diverse communities, and consolidate current or planned strategies and actions to address these.
