The City of Swan has received a planning application for Lot 33 (40) Woolhouse Lane, Gidgegannup.


The proposal consists of the following components:

  • One large rural outbuilding measuring 9m x 16m, with a 5m x 16m unenclosed verandah to its north, and a 5.3-metre-high pitched roof.
  • One 25,000-litre water tank to be located 2.35 metres to the west of the outbuilding. The water tank is proposed to be 2.62 metres in height with a diameter of 3.78 metres.
  • Vegetation clearing, pitched rock retaining and ground levelling to accommodate the proposed structures.
  • Removal of two existing smaller sheds located north of the dwelling.


Both the water tank and outbuilding are proposed to be finished in Colorbond ‘pale eucalypt’. All structures are identified as being located within the building envelope applicable to the Lot.


The Lot is zoned Rural Residential in accordance with the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17.


The proposal is being considered in accordance with the provisions of the City’s Local Planning Policy POL-TP-126 Building and Development Standards - Rural Zones and we’re seeking feedback in relation to the proposal from affected landowners.
