The City has received a Development Assessment Panel Form 2 – Regulation 17 application for amendments to the previously approved ‘Educational Establishment’ at the above address.
The original application for the school was approved by the DAP in December 2021 to accommodate a maximum of 1,000 students comprising 75 Kindergarten children, 75 Preprimary children, 450 Primary school students and 400 Secondary school students. A total of 80 staff was proposed to service the school once at full approved capacity.
It is proposed to increase staff and student capacity in the following manner:
- Increase the number of students from 1,000 to 1,510 (an increase of 510 students),
- Increase the number of staff from 80 to 105 (an increase of 25 staff)
This new student population limit is expected to be reached by 2028.
Note: this application is only seeking increase in number of staff and students and No further buildings and structures are proposed as part of this application.
Please be advised the City is not the decision-maker for this application and the application will be determined by the Development Assessment Panel (DAP) due to the value of the proposed works. The City's role is to provide a recommendation to the DAP through a Responsible Authority Report. As part of preparing the City's Responsible Authority Report to the DAP the City are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the Responsible Authority Report to ensure that the community's views have the opportunity to form part of the DAP`s consideration of the proposal.
The City will notify all submitters in writing of the Development Assessment Panel meeting once the meeting date has been listed by the Development Assessment Panel Secretariat.
