The City has received a Development Assessment Panel Form 2 – Regulation 17 application seeking amendments to the previously approved ‘Warehouse’ development at the above address.
The proposal involves consolidating the previously approved Warehouse 1A, Warehouse 1B and their associated breezeway into a single, larger building 1A. This expanded building is intended to accommodate the Maker’s fabrication and assembly operations for cabinetry and benchtops. An enlarged two-storey office building is also proposed along the site frontage, incorporating administrative functions and a showroom display area.
A total of 133 parking bays are proposed. Based on the proposed floorspace, 457 parking bays would be required. The proposal therefore results in a parking shortfall of 324 bays under the provisions of POL-TP-129. The original approval included a shortfall of 176 bays for Tenancies 1A and 1B; accordingly, the current amendment increases the parking shortfall by a further 148 bays.
Please note that the City is not the decision-maker for this application. Due to the value of the proposed works, the application will be determined by the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel (DAP). The City’s role is to provide a recommendation to the DAP in the form of a Responsible Authority Report (RAR). As part of preparing the RAR, the City is seeking your comments on the proposal. Your submission will be included within the RAR to ensure that community views are made available for the DAP’s consideration.
The City will notify all submitters in writing of the Metro Outer DAP meeting once a meeting date has been scheduled by the Development Assessment Panel Secretariat.
