The City is excited to share that construction of the new Caloria Park Netball halfcourt has reached an exciting milestone.

Following community consultation in late 2024, the proposed court location was moved from the northern side to the southern end of the park. This change helps better group active uses while maintaining separation from the playground and informal kickabout area. To see the new concept plan click here .

Construction is now underway, with earthworks and concrete pouring completed in March 2026

Upcoming works include surface treatments, installation of nets, a new water fountain and irrigation.

We anticipate all works will be completed by June 2026.

Based on the overall sentiment of the 51 responses the majority of people who answered the survey were in support of a new netball facility at Caloria Park. Almost twice as many either supported or strongly supported the proposal (57%, n=29) compared to those who do not support or do not support at all (29%, n=15). 14% of responses were neutral (n=7).

A strong sentiment heard by the project team was concern about the proposed half court location at the northern end. Based on that feedback the project team are now exploring the feasibility of locating the court at the southern end next to the existing basketball half court.
