This is a community driven-project, championed by the Hazelmere Progress Association, delivered by the City of Swan, that aims to bring art, nature, and local identity together. The mural will celebrate what makes Hazelmere special - its people, history, and connection to the surrounding landscape - while transforming the hall and reserve into a more vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.
The idea for the Hazelmere Hall art mural project grew from the Hazelmere Progress Association’s vision to strengthen community pride and connection through public art. Members have led the way in shaping the project, securing funding, and ensuring it reflects the values and identity of the people who call Hazelmere home.
The Hazelmere Progress Association (HPA) has long been at the heart of local community life, representing residents with passion, pride, and a shared commitment to keeping Hazelmere’s friendly spirit alive.
Run entirely by local volunteers, the HPA works to protect, promote, and enhance the character of Hazelmere - from preserving its natural beauty and heritage to supporting projects that bring people together. The group regularly engages with the City on initiatives that make a positive difference for residents and visitors alike.
