From roads and waste collection to parks, libraries, community facilities and public spaces, these are the everyday services that support our community.
The City is proposing a 5.5 per cent rate increase for 2026/27, which for the average household is around $1.69 extra per week.
We know many households are feeling ongoing cost-of-living pressures. At the same time, the City is also experiencing rising costs driven by inflation and global factors, including fuel, construction materials, utilities and employee costs.
This is a State-required revaluation year, which affects how rates are calculated, meaning individual rates will vary depending on property value changes.
These adjustments help ensure we can continue delivering essential services and maintaining community infrastructure.
Notice of intention to levy differential rates
In accordance with section 6.36 of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given to the ratepayers of the intention of the City of Swan to levy the following differential rates for each rating category for the 2026/27 financial year.
