The City has received an application to increase the capacity of the ‘Restaurant’ approval at Lot 50 (No. 217) Copley Road, Upper Swan, with the Restaurant a secondary use to complement the existing winery. The site has approval to operate a restaurant with a maximum of 20 patrons, this application seeks to increase the patron numbers and opening hours.

Details of the proposal are as follows:

  • Increase the restaurant capacity from 20 to 100 patrons, with up to 6 staff members
  • Restaurant will utilise an existing structure on site along with an outdoor seating area
  • 30 car parking bays and 3 bus parking bays to be established on site. Parking has been provided in accordance with The City of Swan Vehicle parking Standards Policy
  • An acoustic report and transport impact statement have been provided as part of the application

The proposed hours of operation (open to the public) are as follows:

  • Cellar door: wine tasting & sale of alcohol
    • Monday to Sunday: 11am-5pm
  • Restaurant: Alcohol consumed on the premises with a meal
    • Monday: 11am-9pm
    • Tuesday and Wednesday: Closed
    • Thursday to Sunday: 10am-9pm
  • Cafe: No Alcohol, food available
    • Monday to Sunday: 6am-2pm.

This application only seeks approval to operate the restaurant incidental to the winery. Any additional land uses will be subject to further planning approval.
