The City has received an application seeking approval for a shed at Lot 517 (No.7410) Bunning Road GIDGEGANNUP WA 6083. Details of the proposal are as follows:

  • Dimensions of 12m x 16m (192m²)
  • Located north of the existing dwelling and outside the building envelope.
  • Approximately 36 metres from the western boundary, and 12 metres from the northern boundary.

The shed seeks a variation in relation to the City of Swan Local Planning Policy POL-C-080 Building Envelopes clause 5.2.2 (a), which provides the following:

5.2.2 Council will generally only approve such development where it meets all of the following criteria:

(a) Is located no closer than 15m to the lot boundaries;

Public notification is being undertaken in accordance with the provisions of clause 5.2.3 of the abovementioned policy due to the above variation.

Prior to Council giving consideration to the proposal, comments from surrounding owners are sought.
