The City has received the abovementioned proposal for consideration. Prior to the City giving consideration to the proposal, comments from surrounding owners are sought.

The applicant seeks approval to run a Tourist Facility (Rhan’z Barn) from Lot 100 (No.104) Ridgewood Loop, Bullsbrook.

Tourist Facilities is an ‘A’ use in the Rural Residential zone, requiring the City to provide notice of the application in accordance with Claus 9.4 of Local Planning Scheme 17.

The applicant proposes:

  • Rhan’z Barn comprises of:
    • Private Highland Cattle farm tours
    • 1 tour per day of up to six people, 7 days per week
    • Visitors come via one car
    • Tours run 9:30am/12:00pm/4:30pm for 1.5-2 hours.
    • All tours are by appointment only
    • Visitors to use existing, approved toilet facilities (ancillary dwelling)
    • Visitors to view/handle various livestock on the property, including 5 goats, 3 Highlands, 3 Texas Longhorns and 4 sheep.
    • Parking confined to subject lot
    • Signage on front gate
