The City has received an application for to amend a previously approved shed at Lot 10446 (No.43) Maralla Road, Ellenbrook. This application applies to amendments to the previously approved shed only.
The proposal includes the following amendments:
- Increase the previously approved wall height of 2941mm (2.9m) to 3200mm (3.2m)
- Decrease the previously approved roof height of 4200mm (4.2m) to 4128mm (4.1m)
- Maintain the previously approved setback of 1.5m.
As a result, the proposal requires an assessment against the applicable Residential Design Codes WA design principles which read:
- “Outbuildings that do not detract from the streetscape or the visual amenity of residents or neighbouring properties.”
The City has discretion to approve variations of this nature but seeks neighbour feedback as part of the assessment process.
