The City has received the abovementioned proposal for consideration.
The applicant is seeking approval for a larger outbuilding (shed) than what is permitted “as of right” under the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes). The proposed variations are as follows:
Outbuildings (Clause 5.4.3 of the R-Codes):
- A floor area of 120m², in lieu of the 60m² permitted as of right.
- A wall height of 3.5 metres, in lieu of the 2.4 metres permitted as of right.
The proposed variations therefore require an assessment against the applicable design principles which read as follows:
“Outbuildings that do not detract from the streetscape or the visual amenity of residents or neighbouring properties.”
The City seeks your feedback on the proposed variations as an affected landowner.
