The City of Swan has received a development application for an outbuilding (shed) at 108 Morcombe Road, Gidgegannup.

The proposal is for a rural shed used for caravan parking, measuring 16 metres by 10 metres, with a maximum height of 4.782 metres. The shed will be coloured Woodland Grey. Several trees will also require removal to accommodate the shed.

The shed is proposed to be 153 metres north from 1633 Toodyay Road Gidgegannup and 202 metres east from the property at 118 Morcombe Road Gidgegannup.

The proposal is located within the Landscape zone in accordance with the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17. While sheds are generally appropriate within this zoning, planning approval is required due to the footprint size of the shed.

The proposal is being advertised due to the existing number and cumulative size of sheds on the lot, as well as the potential visibility of the shed from neighbouring properties. The City is seeking feedback from nearby landowners, particularly in relation to its scale and appearance within its setting.
