The City has received a planning application for four (4) Grouped Dwellings at 2 Eric Street, Midland.
The lot is zoned Urban under the Metropolitan Region Scheme and Residential R40 under the City’s Local Planning Scheme No.17
The applicant is seeking variations to specific provisions of State Planning Policy 7.3 – Residential Design Codes (R-Codes) as outlined below:
- A 2-storey wall greater than 14m in length closer than 3m to the boundary.
C3.4.2 The second storey of walls shall be set back in accordance with Table 3.4a for a maximum wall length of 14m (including any balconies). For a portion of wall exceeding 14m in length:
- the wall is to be set back 3m from the lot boundary for the remainder of its length; or
- contain a minimum 3m x 3m separation measured from the lot boundary.
Prior to the determination of application, the City wishes to formally invite you to provide a submission on this proposal.
