The City has received a Development Assessment Panel Application for a proposed Restaurant at Guildford Post Office site on Lot 194 (No.24) Stirling Street GUILDFORD. The details of the proposal are as follows:
The proposed development seeks the approval of a ‘Restaurant’ on the subject site.
Incorporating the following elements:
- Restorative works to the Guildford Post Office to facilitate activation and reuse to extend the longevity of the building.
- Dining spaces for both formal and semi-formal occasions, along with outdoor seating
- A take-away coffee window
- Landscaping, including the retention of mature tree and accessibility to outdoor areas.
- Provision of new crossover from Stirling Street into proposed rear carparking area with provision for 7 parking bays.
Please be advised the City is not the decision-maker for this application and the application will be determined by the Metro Outer – Development Assessment Panel (DAP) due to the value of the proposed works. The City’s role is to provide a recommendation to the DAP through a Responsible Authority Report. As part of preparing the City’s Responsible Authority Report to the DAP the City are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the Responsible Authority Report to ensure that the community’s views can have the opportunity to form part of the DAP’s consideration of the proposal.
