The City is seeking public comment on this Joint Development Assessment Panel Form 1 development application. The development proposal includes two (2) warehouse tenancies ‘2A’ and ‘2B’ which will be serviced by incidental office space, carparking and harstand for vehicular ciruclation. The development is intended to operate 24/7. The balance of the site has prior planning approval for four (4) warehouse tenancies which was previously advertised to the public for comment during the assessment of the application last year and is now commencing construction.

Vehicle access for employees and visitors to Warehouse ‘2A’ is proposed from ‘Adelaide Street’ with two-way access and an additional one-way exit to ‘Stirling Crescent’. Warehouse ‘2B’ has a crossover entrance and exit to ‘Stirling Crescent’ for employees/ visitors. Both warehouses have a truck entrance and exit to the approved shared private road internal to the site. With Warehouse ‘2B’ having a truck exit onto ‘Stirling Crescent’.

The proposed development includes 96 bays with 239 bays required under the City’s Local Planning Policy. The proposed parking provision therefore represents a shortfall of 143 parking bays under the provisions of POL-TP-129 Vehicle Parking Standards.

Please be advised the City is not the decision-maker for this application and the application will be determined by the Metro Outer – Joint Development Assessment

Panel (MODAP) as elected by the Applicant. The City’s role is to provide arecommendation to the MODAP through a Responsible Authority Report. As part of preparing the City’s Responsible Authority Report to the MODAP the City are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the Responsible Authority Report to ensure that the community’s views have the opportunity to form part of the MODAP’s consideration of the proposal.

The City will notify all submitters in writing of the Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel meeting once the meeting date has been listed by the Development Assessment Panel Secretariat.
