This application seeks development approval for a Change of Use from ‘Educational Establishment’ to ‘Recreation - Private’ for Tenancy 1A of the subject site.
The subject land is zoned ‘Industrial’ under the Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) and part ‘Industrial Development’ and part ‘General Industrial’ under the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No.17 (LPS17). The entire lot is also listed in Schedule 2 – Additional Uses of LPS17 (AU 16), which permits the following Additional Uses: ‘Markets’ and ‘Public Amusement’ as ‘P’ uses, and ‘Showrooms’ as a ‘D’ use.
The proposed use is located wholly within the portion of the lot zoned ‘Industrial Development’ under LPS17.
The premises are proposed to be occupied by Gravity Adventure Centre, an indoor recreation facility offering a variety of active entertainment services. The business will operate within Tenancy 1A of the existing building, with the following hours of operation:
- Saturday to Thursday: 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am to 9:00pm
