The City has received an application for a 14.9m x 7.68m 4.1m high shed at Lot 53 (No.8) Barcelona Drive, Brigadoon.

The applicant is seeking approval for a reduced setback than what is permitted “as of right” under the City’s Building and Development Standards - Rural Zones policy (POL-126)

The proposal includes the following departures:

  • Setback of 10m from eastern boundary in lieu of the 20m minimum setbackrequired as per the General Rural Zone setbacks.

The City has discretion to approve variations of this nature but seeks neighbour feedback as part of the assessment process.
