The City of Swan has received an application for a proposed extension to the existing ‘Vehicle Sales and Service Centre’ currently located at Lot 50 (No.326) Great Eastern Highway, Midland.
Details of the proposal are as follows:
- Demolition of an existing outbuilding at Lot 6 (No.4) William Street, Midland;
- Extend the operations of the existing ‘Vehicle Sales and Service Centre’ to the adjoining Lot 6 (No. 4) William Street, Midland;
- Proposed hardstand for vehicle storage at Lot 6 (No.4) William Street, Midland;
- Proposed ‘Change of Use’ of the existing ‘Single House’ at Lot 6 (No.4) William Street, Midland to a ‘Caretaker’s Dwelling’ which is a ‘D’ use within the zoning requiring a planning application. A ‘Caretaker’s Dwelling’ means ‘a dwelling on the same site as a building, operation, or plant, and occupied by a supervisor of that building, operation or plant’.
- Proposed installation of a gate providing access between the two lots;
In accordance with the City’s Local Planning Scheme No.17, advertising is required as the proposal is an extension to a non-conforming land use.
