The City has received a development application for a flat carport to be located at Lot 10 (No. 38) Albert Street, Bellevue.The carport is propsed to be 5.5 metres wide, 4.5 metres long and will attach to the house in front of the garage.

The carport proposes variations to the lot boundary setback (eastern side) and street setback requirements.These are as follows:

5.1.3 Lot Boundary Setbacks:

  • A 0.5 metre setback is proposed to the eastern lot boundary (adjacent to 1 Kensington Street) instead of the 1-metre requirement

5.2.1 Setback of Carports and Garages:

  • A 2.2-metre street setback is proposed for the street boundary instead of the 6-metre requirement.

The City is completing a design principle assessment on the above variations and is seeking feedback from affected landowners.
