The City of Swan has received an application for a proposed addition to the existing building located at Lot 50 (No. 326) Great Eastern Highway, Midland. You are invited to provide comment on the proposal prior to its consideration by the City.

The subject site is zoned “Midland Strategic Regional Centre” under the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17 and is currently occupied by Midway Ford, which operates a vehicle dealership from the premises.

The application seeks approval for a 75.61m² internal addition within the existing building footprint, comprising a new mezzanine lunchroom and storeroom. No increase in staff numbers is proposed as part of the development.

The proposal also includes the installation of a 30m² metal awning canopy with Colorbond capping, at a height of 3.65 metres, external to the existing building.

In accordance with the requirements of Local Planning Scheme No. 17, any planning application involving extensions or changes to a Non-Conforming Use is subject to public advertising.
