The City has received an application for a front fence, patio and extension to the existing house at Lot 635 (1) Wagtail Rise, BALLAJURA WA 6066.


The applicant is seeking approval to vary what is permitted “as of right” under the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes). The proposal includes the following departure:


  • 5.1.3 - Lot Boundary Setbacks

The applicant proposes a boundary wall. In accordance with C3.2, boundary walls are not permitted as of right in areas coded R12.5.


Accordingly, the proposed development does not satisfy the deemed-to-comply provisions of the R-Codes and will be assessed against the relevant design principles.


The City invites your comments on the proposed variations as an affected landowner.
