The City has received a development application for a proposed ‘outbuilding’ located in the rear of Lot 34 (No. 28) Niabell Road CAVERSHAM. The applicant is proposing an as-of-right variation to the wall height and aggregate outbuilding size. The details of the proposed development are as follows:

Area: 8m x 12.16m = 97.28m²

Wall height: 3m

Overall height: 3.706m

The as-of-right variation is 3m wall height in lieu of 2.4m and aggregate outbuilding of 97.28m² in lieu of 60m² (as seen on the associated site plans). The City will conduct an alternative merit-based assessment against the design principles of the Residential Design Codes - 5.4.3 Outbuildings:

Prior to the Council giving consideration to the proposal, comments from the surrounding owners are being sought.
