The City has received a planning application for Unhosted Short-Term Accommodation at Lot 3197 (No.21) Gamin Vista, Aveley.


The subject site is zoned Urban under the Metropolitan Region Scheme and Special Use Zone 4 with a density coding of R25 under the City of Swan Local Planning Scheme No. 17.


The proposed land use is designated an ‘A’ (Advertised) use, and the application is therefore being advertised to nearby owners and occupiers who may be affected by the proposal.


The proposal includes the following:

  • Unhosted short-term rental accommodation, involving the temporary occupation of the dwelling by visitors for short stays.
  • The dwelling will be rented in its entirety, with the host not present during guest stays.
  • No physical changes or additions to the existing dwelling are proposed. The use will operate wholly within the existing residential building.


Accordingly, the City invites your comments on the proposal prior to determination.
