The City has received a planning application for a Front Fence at Lot 2 (No. 234) Bennett Springs Drive, BENNETT SPRINGS.
The lot is zoned Urban under the Metropolitan Region Scheme and Residential with a density code of R25 under the City’s Local Planning Scheme No.17.
The proposal consists of the following particulars:
- 1.8m high fence, visually permeable from 1.2m above NGL
- 6 x piers 390mm x 390mm
- 10.67m in length along primary street boundary
- 3.10m along the driveway
This proposal varies the deemed-to-comply provisions of ‘Clause 5.2.5 Sightlines’ by virtue of proposing no truncation to 0.75m within 1.5m of where a fence adjoins the driveway.
The associated performance criteria of 5. 2.5 Sightlines is as follows:
“Unobstructed sightlines provided at vehicle access points to ensure safety and visibility along vehicle access ways, streets, rights-of-way, communal streets, crossovers, and footpaths”
