The City has received an application for a proposed Carport and Patio at 10 Hatfield Road, Ellenbrook.


The applicant is seeking variations to the development standards permitted “as of right” under the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes). The proposal includes the following departures:


Setbacks of carports and garages (Clause 5.2.1 of the R-Codes):

  • A setback of 0.5m, in lieu of the 3m permitted as of right.


Setbacks of carports and garages (Clause 5.3.2 of the R-Codes):

  • 33% soft landscaping to the front setback area, in lieu of the 50% permitted as of right.


Accordingly, the application will be assessed against the relevant design principles of the R-Codes.


The City invites your comments on the proposed variations as an affected landowner.
