The City has received a development application for the replacement of an existing carport with a new garage and a rendered brick pier fence at 79 Cockman Cross, Stratton.

The proposal includes the following minor variations to the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes):

  • Lot Boundary Setback (C3.2): The garage wall is proposed at 9.071m in length. This is a nominal increase of 7.1cm over the 9m Deemed-to-Comply limit.
  • Street Walls and Fences (C4.2): A single feature pillar is proposed at 0.59m to house the integrated letterbox, exceeding the standard 0.4m width for a single point along the boundary.
  • Sightlines (C5): The fence seeks a variation to the standard 1.5m x 1.5m truncation at the driveway.

Considering the above variations, the City is seeking feedback from the affected surrounding landowners.
