The City of Swan’s support for local businesses also benefits families, jobs and our economy – which boosts the diversity and richness of our community.
Feedback has confirmed that economic growth is important to our community, requiring a renewed focus on employment and an increased level of support for local businesses.
The City’s proposed Training and Development Plan will assist our Business and Tourism Services team to deliver a targeted range of training and development opportunities for local businesses at multiple locations within the City of Swan. While helping improve the skills and knowledge of business owners and their staff, the Plan is also linked to five of the City’s corporate Strategies and Plans to provide a comprehensive suite of business support initiatives.
The City is seeking further feedback from businesses on how this support could be developed. Options include:
- Connecting directly with businesses for input on what type of training topics would provide the most benefit
- Working with training providers to increase the number of high-quality training options
