The City of Swan is proposingto provide a roundabout to improve traffic management at the junction of Beach Road and Bonner Drive in Malaga and would like to hear the community’s views.

Between 2020 and 2024, 29 crashes were reported at this intersection. More recent information indicates that both Beach Road and Bonner Drive have carried greater than expected traffic volumes. Current traffic management measures, including give-way signs and line marking, are now considered inadequate.

As the main types of incident at the intersection are right-angled crashes – when a vehicle collides with the right-hand side of another - a roundabout is viewed as the most appropriate solution to the need for improved traffic safety and efficiency.
